Description:

With Emkan Education, SCTH (Saudi Culture and Tourism Heritage), and Aberkyn, we trained top trainers from 19 different sectors in service providers to enrich the experiences of tourism within Saudi as the new e-visa was being launched at the end of Sept 2019.

Goal:

To operationalize key EQ skills such as empathy, dealing with differences, and improvisational creative problem solving skills. Also, to explore different perspectives in regards to tourism, culture and heritage.

Outcome:

The trainers experienced a different way of facilitation, that includes co-leading, coaching questions, case studies analysis and experiential learning as the method to learn (doing the training then debriefing it in small groups). Also, the trainers added their feedback and comments to help the content evolve into a more relevant & effective trainers manual. Also, the professionals within the tourism sector met altogether and created a community of professionals within this new and emerging sector.
